Cementitious polymer-modified block joint mortar Power Plast Block Joint Mortar is a superior water-resistant cement-based mortar specially formulated for joining blocks. It contains selected graded dry sand grey cement and imported polymers to improve workability, water retention, durability and adhesion. It is more resistant to corrosive environments. As Power Plast Block Jointing Mortar contains fine-grade sand, it helps in laying an even stronger and thinner layer of the joint. This is not only cost-effective but also builds even walls, as it improves the levelling of walls and reduces the plaster thickness. This further reduces the thickness of the putty application, so an all-round reduction in cost can be achieved.

- Take the required quantity of water in a clean bucket and add Power Plast Block Jointing Mortar as recommended
- Stir continuously for 5–10 minutes by using an electric mixer or by hand to obtain a homogeneous, lump-free plaster
- Allow the resultant wet mortar to stand for about 5 minutes for the additives to dissolve
- Re-mix again for about 2 minutes
- The mixture is now ready
- Use the mix within 60 minutes
- For the best result, it is advisable to use a notch trowel of 3 to 4 mm to have better contact and bonding
Masonry surfaces should be clean, without dust, voids, or wet before the application of Power Plast Block Joint Mortar.
Power Plast Block Jointing Mortar uses eco-friendly fillers and additives. However, being sand and cement-based, it is alkaline, and hence it is advisable to avoid direct eye and skin contact with it. In case of eye contact, wash with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical help. Always add powder to water but not water to provide during mixing.
Depending on the substrate and climate, add approximately 9 to 10 litres of water for a 40-kg bag. For concrete blocks, wet mortar should have less water to form a 2 to 3-mm bed of Power Plast Block Jointing Mortar.
Power Plast Block Jointing Mortar is available in a 40 kg bag and has a shelf life of 12 months, subject to being stored in a cool, dry location properly. As temperature, humidity, water addition, and other parameters vary from site to site, the above information should be treated as a general guideline.
Power Plast Block Joining Mortar is approx. 120 sq. ft. with an average thickness of material for light-weight blocks of 4 inches. The coverage area, however, will depend on the quality and evenness of the substrate and the thickness of the joint.
