Mix Powergrace Wall Care Putty with 35-40% clean water, Continue mixing until a homogeneous lump free paste of desired consistency is obtained. Apply 1st coat of Powergrace Wall Care Putty uniformly on already moistened surface with the help of putty blade or trowel. Mix only that quantity which can be applied within workable time. After surface drying & hardening of the 1st coat it should be prepared with fine waterproof emery paper before applying 2nd coat with fresh material. The total thickness of 2 coats should be maximum 1.5 mm. Uneven thickness due to unskilled application may cause problem. Finishing should be done by skilled POP applicators.
It is very important and essential that the surface is wet thoroughly before the application of PowerGrace Wall Care Putty. The surface should be wet during application. This ensures higher bonding strength, easy work ability & higher coverage with the surface.
- After thoroughly mixing of PowerGrace Wall Care Putty, apply the first coat on the moistened wall surface from bottom to upward direction uniformly
- with the aid of putty blade. This would ensure minimum wastage and proper finish.
- After drying of first coat of putty just rub the surface gently with wet sponge or very gently with the putty blade in order to remove the loose particles.
- Allow the surface to dry for at least 3 hours and then apply second coat of putty. Leave the surface to dry completely. After drying of second coat remove any types of marks with the help of moist sponge or rub the surface very gently with the putty blade.
- Leave the surface to dry, preferably overnight/ 10-12 hours.
- Always prepare a required quantity of putty and use it within 2-3 hrs of mixing with water.
- The total thickness of the coats should be limited to maximum 1.5 mm.
- Mixing of the Powergrace Wall Care Putty is very important , hence extreme care is to be taken for proper and thorough mixing. It should be preferably mixed with mechanical stirrer in order to get best results. It is very important that during mixing the required amount of water should be added to Wall Care putty and not vice-a-versa. (Do not add putty into water).
- Powergrace Wall Care Putty should always be applied over wet surface.
- It is recommended not to rub the surface done with PowerGrace Wall Care Putty strongly and harshly with rough emery paper. This breaks the film formed over it which decreases the water repellence properties.
The coverage area of PowerGrace Wall Care Putty on smooth normal mortar wall is an approx 18-22 sq. ft / kg / mm in 2 coats on smooth finish substrate in optimum conditions.
Generally the cause of efflorescence on the wall surface is the brick masonry, which is due to the quality of bricks, sand and water. If the effect of efflorescence is very high on the brick masonry then proper care should be taken to control the efflorescence. The efflorescence on brick masonry if allowed to exit will impair the bonding of the Wall Care Putty, as is with any other product.
PowerGrace Wall Care Putty should be stored in a dry place. For best results use it within 12 months from date of manufacturing.
- Though it contains non-toxic materials but still care should be taken to avoid dust inhalation while mixing and handling. In case of contact with eyes or mouth, wash with plenty of clean water.
- Keep it in a dry place and out of reach of children.
- Persons who are allergic to cement/ cement products should take proper precautions before use.
